N 6th St - Interior Define

Kind Modern Furniture Showroom

For a furniture startup specializing in customization, the desired customer experience was that of going to a friend’s house and noticing their new sofa. To achieve a residential feel in a storefront, trim is used to bring down the height of the space to human scale and fixtures are designed more like casework items one might have in the home.

Additional picture frame molding and accent paint colors are added to help customers picture the furniture in their style home. On the first floor the design center anchors the space with a kitchen island style work surface and a fixture showing the wide breath of fabric and leg options. Upstairs the focus is on the faux fireplace and library built ins, more traditional elements reimagined with modern detailing.
